At Deerfields Nursery, our educational daycare begins with a deep respect for your child’s eagerness to learn and capacity to develop meaningful relationships. We believe that secure relationships with responsive and respectful adults can provide the basis for a lifelong love of learning. Our dedicated and highly trained teachers focus on creating these nurturing relationships that allow children to feel valued and empowered.
Whatever their age, our priority is always to make sure that every child enjoys a happy and fun-filled day in our secure and welcoming environment because we never forget that nursery is a home from home for children while they are away from their parents.

The Deerfields Nursery team have been fully committed to providing a care plan tailored to suit every individual child’s needs. We follow the UK based Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum. Our dedicated staff all hold child care qualifications and understand the importance of being friendly and welcoming, not only to children at the nursery but also to their parents. Although every staff member has experience of working with children of all ages, each of them specializes in a particular age group. This ensures that children receive the appropriate type of care and have access to high quality play provision throughout their time at nursery.
All Deerfields Nursery educators:
· Meet the certification standards of EYFS/ British Curriculum
· Are required to complete an extensive training program that provides further insight on child-care and child-development issues before they enter a classroom.
· Receive orientation training before they join into their classrooms, which provide them a deep understanding of our standards and child care curriculum.
· Are required to complete additional training every year to enhance curricula for math and science as well as the communication with families.

Children who are wearing trousers must wear trousers of a beige/ khaki color. Uniforms and accessories can be purchased from the Nursery shop.
Our bright and spacious classrooms are very well equipped with toys and resources which have been specially chosen to promote learning and help children develop new skills at every stage in a stimulating environment. We also have a wide selection of toys available in the outside play area, where children can run, jump, climb and have fun. Our classes are divided by age and children are placed in the class where we feel they will be best suited. We conduct regular assessments and reviews to determine when they are ready to move to the next learning stage. We have named our classes as Hummingbirds, Blue jays, Sparrows, Seagulls, Falcons, Eagles and Owls to represent our children’s soaring to a brighter future.
The Deerfields Nursery is based in Khalifa City A, Abu Dhabi. The facility consists of a 20,000 sq.ft in a quiet neighborhood. Besides the classrooms kitted out with books and resources, there IS huge indoor soft play area, multi-purpose hall, clinic, library& IT room, party house, art atelier, music& gym studio, sleeping room, cooking station, sand pit, picnic area, organic garden, water play area and a massive outdoor playground with a trampoline, simulating traffic area, tricycles, slides, swings etc. to serve, entertain and educate our kids on high standards. All play areas are set up where children can be creative and use their imagination.
Facilities at the nursery include rooms kitted out with books and resources (paints, etc). There indoor play area serves for the days that the weather does not avail kids to play outside such as, heat, rain, sand storm etc. Our outdoor play area with challenging climbing structures, a water play area, grass area, sand pits and discovery garden will give the best to our kids in terms of exploring whilst playing.
The nursery uses ‘outdoor classrooms’ in the cooler weather. Activities available include Mathazone (Mathematics for young learners), gardening, cooking, painting, and drawing.
Deerfields nursery offers extracurricular activities such as French/Arabic, Mathazone (Mathematics for young learners) music, ballet, gymnastics, karate, yoga, art, gardening, cooking, role-play/ drama. Close personal attention to each child is essential to providing a quality experience for all children; therefore, adequate staff will be in charge to ensure each child has the proper supervision within our care. We also have our own dedicated dance and music & dance studio where our children enjoy ballet and tap-dancing lessons, along with physical activity on a weekly basis.
Our baby room provides the calm and secure environment babies need. Babies have a key career and follow their own feeding and sleeping routines in a cozy cot room with allocated cots. The ratio in babies’ room is 1 to 2. We ask you to provide sterilized bottles and formula so that your baby’s career can prepare his/her bottles as required. We also ask you to bring disposable nappies, as you know best which brand suits your baby’s delicate skin. We have a wide selection of toys and books which have been specially chosen to promote your baby’s development, as well as being fun.
Staff help babies develop new skills by encouraging them in their first attempts at crawling, walking and of course, talking. When you feel your baby is ready for nursery food, staff will offer suitably prepared meals in accordance with your wishes, in line with our policy of working in partnership with parents at all times.
Babies are taken to the playground whenever weather permits, and staff also take older babies to the outside play area where they can ‘watch and learn’ from the older children. Older siblings are encouraged to visit the baby room throughout the day, and we find this particularly helpful during the ‘settling in’ period. Parents are encouraged to bring their baby for short visits before starting nursery; since both babies and parents have varying needs when starting nursery for the first time, the manager will advise on these as the visits progress.
When your baby is around 20 months old he/she will move up to the toddlers play room. Here toddlers have access to a range of toys designed to stimulate their imagination and offer plenty of scope to practice the new skills they are developing. They always have open access to construction toys and other equipment which helps develop fine motor skills, together with a plentiful supply of books, jigsaws and craft materials. Children also take their naps in the toddlers’ room, usually after lunch. Toddlers like to move around a lot, so garden play becomes very important, and children are taken outside as much as possible, where they can ride bikes, climb and jump
From the age of 3 children we follow the Foundation Phase, the Early Years Program which is currently used in British schools. It is widely accepted as the best method of learning for children aged between 3 and 7. Staff plan and set out activities which provide quality play opportunities for learning in 7 areas – Mathematical, Physical Development, Knowledge & Understanding of the World, Personal, Social & Well-being, Language & Literacy, Multi-Cultural Understanding and Creative Development. These areas are considered to be the essential foundation for children’s education. Staff plan activities which give plentiful opportunities for quality play, then children choose which activities they want to take part in. Naturally, key workers are on hand to extend children’s games, helping them integrate self-expression and imagination into their play. Key workers also ensure that paints, pencils and other creative materials are always readily accessible so that they can help children develop good writing skills.
All children are encouraged to behave well and show consideration for others, particularly in the Foundation Phase. They learn to follow instructions and keep to a routine, while still developing their independence. Our mission is to ensure that every child is happy and well-cared for; we want them to leave us confident and ready for school.
